Luminact Pty Ltd, a sovereign Australian defence company and provider of engineering systems, solutions and services, has signed a contract with the New Zealand Ministry of Defence to integrate advanced command, control, communications and computers (C4) and digital systems into the NZDF’s fleet of Bushmaster protected vehicles.
The Bushmaster vehicles will be enabled with communication and situational awareness capabilities to enhance their operational effectiveness, providing a credible combat capability for the NZDF. Luminact will partner with the Ministry’s Network Enabled Army (NEA) Programme to design, develop and integrate a solution, which will see the vehicles interoperable with partner nations, including Australia.
Luminact, as the Prime System Integrator (PSI), will lead the development of a C4 Solution including engineering, design, verification and testing, training, integrated logistic support (ILS), equipment and component procurement, integration and support. Luminact will leverage its depth of in-house experts with extensive experience delivering capability outcomes in the Land C4 domain across multiple platforms and products.

The Acquisition Contract was signed on 12 December 2025, with design underway in partnership with the Ministry of Defence and NZDF. Delivery is scheduled from 2028.
